About Us

Founded in 1987 with a vision to regulate the profession, ensure its practice within a legal framework, and elevate its reputation to the highest standards, the Institute has been at the forefront of the accounting profession in North Cyprus. The Institute led the preparation of the first draft accounting profession law and submitted it to the legislature. Despite years of struggle and initiatives, political instabilities in our country have left these efforts inconclusive. During 2020-2021, the Institute completed its organizational and institutional structure and continues its activities more strongly and rapidly in line with its vision and mission. Since its establishment, the Institute has grown to a substantial network of members over 35 years. The Institute was renamed to North Cyprus Accountants and Auditors Institute (YMDE), transitioning from an association structure to an Institute that aims to provide world-class services and education to its members, while working to establish professional ethics and professional law in legal status.
